About SaringoCognition®
The active Product in SaringoCognition is (24S)-Saringosterol, a sterol compound isolated from Sargassum fusiforme seaweed, primarily functions as a selective agonist for liver X receptor beta (LXRβ). By activating LXRβ, it modulates cholesterol metabolism, promoting efflux and reducing accumulation, which helps alleviate atherosclerosis in models like apoE-deficient mice. In Alzheimer's disease contexts, it enhances brain cholesterol turnover, increases microglial clearance of amyloid-beta (Aβ), and reduces neuronal Aβ release, potentially preventing cognitive decline. Additionally, saringosterol exhibits anti-obesity effects by inhibiting adipocyte differentiation and lowering triglyceride levels
